Legal
Privacy policy
My ETA Online Ltd (“we”, “us”), operating My ETA Online, is the data controller for the personal information described here. This policy explains what we collect, why, the lawful bases we rely on, and your rights under UK data-protection law.
1. Information we collect
- Identity and contact details (name, email, phone).
- Travel and eligibility details you provide when checking eligibility or contacting us.
- Any documents or messages you send us.
- Limited technical data (e.g. IP address) for security and, with consent, analytics and advertising.
2. How we use it and our lawful bases
- To respond to your enquiry and, where applicable, assist with your application.
- To keep you updated and provide support.
- To meet legal, security and fraud-prevention obligations.
Our lawful bases are your consent (for analytics and advertising cookies), our legitimate interests (to respond to enquiries and operate the site securely), our legal obligations, and, where you proceed with an application, performance of our contract with you.
3. Disclosure and international transfers
Where you proceed with an application, we may share information with the relevant government authority to process it, and with service providers who help us operate (such as our hosting and email providers) under appropriate confidentiality obligations. Some providers are located outside the UK (for example, email delivery in the United States and hosting in Singapore); where personal information is transferred internationally we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses. We do not sell your personal information.
4. Storage and security
Data is encrypted in transit. We retain personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law — typically up to 24 months after your last contact for enquiry data — then securely delete it.
5. Cookies, analytics and advertising
We use essential cookies to run the site. With your consent, we use analytics and advertising cookies (including Google Analytics, Google Ads and Meta Pixel) to measure and improve our service and marketing. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time via the cookie banner or the “Cookie settings” link in the footer.
6. Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to the processing of your personal information, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, contact us at support@myeta.online. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
